The Urban Local Bodies, NGOs/CBOs and private sector organisations have done many innovations in the field of alleviation of urban poverty and livelihood promotion. In order to disseminate the innovative ideas, which have a potential for national replicability, the National Strategy for Urban Poor project envisages the Register of Innovations. . The Register of Innovations will document replicable and sustainable initiatives from across India.
Innovations will be collected and classified into the following categories-

Themes / Categories	Shelter and Security of tenure, Livelihood including micro credit Health and education Vulnerable groups: Women, children, minorities, backward communities and pro-PwDs (Persons with Disabilities) Basic Services - a. Drinking Water b. Sanitation c. Transportation etc Urban Governance Any other (Please specify – e.g. - Technology or ICT initiatives for poor etc)
Process of Documentation	Preliminary information regarding innovations / initiatives will be collected through Form I and Form I I. Regional Agencies, Field Officers and individuals in the network will collect these innovations. Information thus collected will be included in the Directory of Innovations Innovations from Directory will be short-listed for inclusion in the Register of Innovations
